Sky’s the limit? It is in the Engadin. Here you can take to the skies not only under a paraglider but – thanks to the airport in Samedan – in a helicopter or glider, too. One thing is guaranteed: you will not forget your flight quickly.
Seeing things from a fresh perspective is often rewarding – especially when it comes to seeing sparkling glaciers, shimmering lakes and dramatic mountain peaks glide under your feet. Choose the style of flight you want for an experience that guarantees the ultimate high!
Activities in the Engadin
As the experienced pilot carefully spreads the paraglider out on the ground, your adrenalin level slowly starts to climb. Already at take-off, the views are fabulous; soon after, they are breathtaking. Depending on weather and season, tandem paraglider flights are available from the following points: Muottas Muragl, Alp Languard, Diavolezza and Corvatsch. Requirements for passengers: normal physical condition and a weight of at least 30 kg. Cost: from CHF 200.00.
A helicopter flight will bring you tantalisingly close to the mighty snow-capped peaks of the Engadin and their sparkling glaciers. How about a wide loop around the Piz Bernina or a flight along the spectacular Biancograt ridge? Three standard routes are on offer, with a minimum of four passengers. Groups of four to five people can choose their itinerary with the pilot. Cost: from CHF 150.00 per person.
Flying as a passenger in a glider literally takes your breath away – not just thanks to the views of the Engadin mountains, but because of the powerful centrifugal forces that act on the body. The gliders require strong thermals, so they fly primarily on sunny days during the summer. Tip: bring a hat or cap, sunglasses and sun protection. Cost: from CHF 70.00.
