Bündnertuch

St. Moritz

The label brings traditional knowledge into the present, revives it and develops it for the future. It draws from the alpine environment, weaves valuable Grisons cultural heritage and celebrates the comeback of wool in sustainably produced new clothing.

Based on the old recipe of the traditional Trun cloth factory, the fabric has been further developed and adapted to today's requirements. The dyeing is more harmonious, the cloth lighter, finer and comfortable to wear. The fabric is spun, dyed, woven, rolled and compacted in 14 artisanal steps. New wool regulates moisture, protects against cold and is self-cleaning.

For ten years, the company has been producing uniforms for Graubünden mountain guides as well as traditional sweaters. The new label gives "Bündnertuch" visibility and relevance, and professionalizes and expands production. As a side effect, a Grisons cultural asset is preserved and meaningful jobs are created in the mountain region.
