A new centre has found its place in the centre of Silvaplana, combining the historic workshops of master craftsmen with contemporary art: the Gallaria Sonne. Born from the collaboration between Ercole Ricotti and Art Project Maistra 21, coordinated by Nicoletta Rusconi, the space houses offices dedicated to craftsmanship of the highest quality, in perfect dialogue with contemporary art. A prestigious showcase presents the Bite&Go project, launched in 2021 to promote works by emerging, established and mid-career artists - unique, unpublished artworks in small and medium format at affordable prices. Traversing the spaces of Gallaria Sonne, Art Project Maistra 21 proposes a photographic exhibition path focussing on the representation of photography as a language of contemporary art, with names such as Gianluigi Colin, Mario Cresci, Patrizia Della Porta, Francesco Pignatelli, Alessandra Spranzi, Pio Tarantini, Davide Tranchina and Silvio Wolf. To enrich the exhibition, Gallaria Sonne is presenting a temporary exhibition by three young artists: Alissa Marchenko (1989, Ukraine), Jaime Poblete (1981, Chile) and Arjan Shehaj (1989, Albania), all of whom are characterised by experiments with different media.
