The Upper Engadine Cultural Archive is a public institution that collects documents relating to the culture of the Engadine and makes them available to the public.
The Upper Engadine Cultural Archive was founded in 1988 as an association to become a centre for the preservation of documents relating to Engadine history. The Upper Engadine Cultural Archive was created on a private initiative and the Upper Engadine Cultural Archive Association is responsible for the institution.
The Upper Engadin municipalities, canton, federal government, foundations and private individuals support the archive financially.
