For us earthbound humans, to view the world from far above holds an everlasting fascination. Treat yourself to a change of perspective with a paragliding or helicopter flight at the Corvatsch and experience magical moments of pure joie de vivre.
Gliding downwards from 3000 metres above sea level, feeling the thermal power and cherishing a perfect sense of freedom – in other words: experience the fascination of paragliding at the Corvatsch.
On a tandem flight, it is the professional pilot who takes control, so you can fully focus on having fun flying. If you are in a normal physical condition and have a bodyweight of at least 30 kg nothing stands in your way: Take off and enjoy!
Both during the summer flight season (May 1st to December 10th) and during winter (December 11th to April 31st) pilots find clearly marked launch sites at the Corvatsch’s summit and middle stations. Please consult the bulletin board at the stations for current information since naturally “Safety First!” is the prime directive. Especially the site at the middle station should only be used by skilled pilots as a power supply line needs to be steered around. Furthermore, please pay close attention to the extremely gusty Maloja and Julier winds and choose the proper landing sites accordingly.
Note to self: Mind the protection zones
The aeronautical chart supplied by malojawind.ch show the different airspace zones: the red protected area D in the Val Roseg as well as the Inn’s main valley which serves as an approach and take-off zone for the Engadin Airport. Therefore, please do not fly too far into the valley. You may apply for a crossing in advance at the airport tower (telephone: +41 81 851 08 54).
With Swiss Helicopter you are in for an alpine winter experience par excellence: let yourself be carried up and away on their VIP helicopter flight from St. Moritz Bad to 3303 metres where you get treated to a wonderful three-course-menu in the 360°-panoramic restaurant of the Corvatsch summit station. You can choose your own routes on the slopes or off-piste before taking the gondola back down to Surlej from where you can access the Heliport St. Moritz comfortably by bus. You can extend your experience by booking a scenic flight to witness the incredible glacier landscape from above.
