Fun and action in the great indoors

Summer activities

Serlas, S-chanf

Even when the sun decides not to shine, the Engadin offers everything visitors need for action and excitement. The comprehensive range of leisure facilities includes a wide choice of indoor activities, too.

Bowling

When did you last enjoy a relaxed afternoon or evening with family or friends at a bowling alley? The Grand Hotel Kronenhof in Pontresina and the Gasthaus Spinas in Bever both have historical bowling alleys that promise good old-fashioned entertainment. You can also challenge friends to a game at the Serlas Parc centre in S-chanf, which has four micro-bowling alleys with a length of 12 metres: maximum fun guaranteed!

Boccia

Take a covered boccia court, boccia balls and good friends – and you have all you need for a few hours of leisure and laughter. Boccia is the local equivalent of “pétanque”, and just as entertaining. You can enjoy boccia on wet days, too – for example at the covered court in St. Moritz Bad.

Indoor tennis and squash

“Game, set and match!” is the familiar cry at the Tennis & Squash Centre in St. Moritz, which boasts 4 indoor tennis courts with Bross Slide surface as well as 2 indoor squash courts – perfect for rainy days. If you have not brought your own equipment to the Engadin, you can hire a racquet or buy one from the in-house shop. The Tennis Café serves snacks and drinks to boost energy levels.

St. Moritz Casino

"The Highest Club" invites locals as well as guests from all over the world.

Gyms and fitness

Power training or endurance training, individual training or group fitness, hip hop or Pilates, spinning or kickboxing: the choice of organised fitness activities in our region is vast. The many fitness centres the length of the valley from Silvaplana through St. Moritz to S-chanf have two factors in common: ultra-modern facilities and qualified trainers.

Location list

Serlas Parc

As well as a fitness studio offering various courses, the Serlas Parc centre features a climbing hall (450 sq. m) with a bouldering zone (120 sq. m) under its futuristic roof. The panoramic glass floor-to-ceiling windows ensure that indoor climbers, too, always have a good view of the Engadin mountains – providing additional motivation, no doubt, to conquer each route. The necessary climbing equipment is available for hire

Yoga

Follow a path with a difference: not through forests and over meadows, but to inner wisdom. Experienced yoga instructors lead courses at the Serlas Parc centre and at the many fitness studios throughout the region.

Casino St. Moritz

Feeling lucky? Good reason to visit Europe’s highest-altitude casino! Attractions include American roulette, blackjack, Texas hold’em poker, more than 80 slot machines – and guaranteed excitement. The barman at the elegant Ivory Ball Lounge Bar will mix you cocktails so you can celebrate your success – or drink a toast to better luck next time. Tournament players should make a note in their diary of the monthly Texas hold'em poker tournaments and the occasional blackjack tournaments.
