Evergreens

Sils i.E.
Early music under the direction of Alexander Seidel.

In the tenth year of the Sils Choral Weeks, there is also a promising new offer: a choral week dedicated to baroque music and led by a well-known baroque specialist. George Frideric Handel spent most of his life composing in London. This new choral week is dedicated to his most beautiful choruses from the oratorios Messiah, Saul and Alexander's Feast as well as the operas Xerxes and Ariodante. Singing is in German, English and Latin. Anyone who loves festive baroque and has always wanted to sing with a baroque ensemble is in the right place this week. In the closing concert, we will be accompanied by musicians from the New Sagittarius Consort Zurich, the baroque ensemble that Alexander Seidel founded in 1995.
