The first excursion (Sept. 2) leads to the nearby Fex Valley. The small chapel in Fex Crasta is a real gem that surprises with a complete fresco program. The frescoes show rarely shown sides of Mary. The journey to Crasta is made by horse-drawn carriage or on foot. The second excursion goes to Bergün in the Albula Valley (Sept. 4). The frescoes in the church were created around 1500 and illustrate an impressive implementation of the creed in the early Renaissance style. The image content of the churches is conveyed by Christian Refardt; he is a theologian and lecturer for theological church tours at the Zurich adult education center. 4-night package bookable from September 1st - 5th, 2024.
