Water is life and generates life. We are 60% made of water, it is the most precious good on our planet, we see it in nature in its different forms:

snow, ice, rivers, lakes, waterfalls and then, domesticated by man, we find it in dams, canals, pipelines, aqueducts and fountains.

Fountains with their continuous flow have been the vital centre of towns and villages, a social gathering place for drawing water, quenching thirst, watering, cooking, watering animals and washing clothes.

The project ARS AQUÆ FONTIS by photographer Laura Ceretti, Milanese by birth but from the Engadine at heart, recounts the life of the seven fountains in Celerina, enriches them with her images and proposes an unexpected artistic vision.
