Welcome to Europe's highest airport 5600 ft above sea level.
As one of very few destinations in the Alpine region, the Engadin has its own airport and is therefore also reachable worldwide by air (Jets, Turboprop, Helicopter).
The Engadin Airport is open all year round. The Engadin Airport recorded in the last 5 years average around 15’000 flight movements (arrivals and departures) per year and approx.
14’000 passengers. 20% or approximately 3,000 flight movements are due to
jets or turboprops. Mostly there are feeder flights for the four and five-star tourism, house owners and the top events such as Jazz Festival, Ski World Cup, the World Economic Forum in Davos, the polo tournament or the White Turf in St. Moritz.
The airport is a Civil, Category B Airport and is open for all private, commercial and business flights.
Thanks to the own Customs clearance and definition as Schengen external border, the regional airport can be reached directly worldwide from non-Schengen countries.
With the new airport infrastructure in 2023, together with the GNSS-IFR procedure introduced next year, which will made flying safer and plannable into and out of the Engadin, the regional airport becomes the «gateway to the world».
As one of very few destinations in the Alpine region, the Engadin has its own airport and is therefore also reachable worldwide by air (Jets, Turboprop, Helicopter).
