In 2021, the Beverin became the first river to receive the "Gewässerperle PLUS" label.
The label recognizes valuable streams and rivers - our Water Pearls - and the commitment of the people behind them who work for the benefit of people and nature. It promotes the commitment of local decision-makers. The region is enhanced and its conservation policies strengthened.

Bever is thus committed to continuing to take care of the river, which is worthy of protection and which is wild and untouched over large stretches.
The Beverin has its source at around 2900 meters above sea level. From here it finds its way into Val Bever via rocky gorges. Surrounded by alluvial landscapes and shallow moors, the mountain stream is also a habitat for rare animal and plant species - even the otter has been sighted here. The Beverin can hardly receive a greater compliment, as the otter only visits ecologically good and intact waters. Experience this natural paradise on a hike from Bever to Chamanna Jenatsch or via Fuorcla Crap Alv in the direction of Preda. You will fall in love with the landscape, which is characterized by this beautiful river.
