The Pontresina Mountaineering School offers guided glacier hikes and hikes nearby. These high-alpine tours can be booked without any major alpine experience and are suitable for families in part. Surefootedness and some stamina are required. Starting point for the Pers Glacier and Morteratsch Glacier hikes is the Diavolezza mountain station.
The guided hikes on and near the glaciers are much more than just a special mountain experience with breathtaking views of the Bernina mountain world – they also create the opportunity of finding out more about the landscape shaped by the glaciers. There are various glacier tours for beginners and those with more experience.
